We’re proud to bring you the first Twitter competition for a good cause. Send your inspirational tweet to @wijayamed directed at survivors, patients, their loved ones or caretakers with the hashtag #mins4alifetime. Your tweets will be monitored 24 hours a day 7 days a week to select the 100 best tweets, which will be printed as a booklet of inspirational messages to be given to those mentioned above.

The most inspirational tweet takes home a HP Mini 1000 Mini Notebook. Happy Tweeting!

Contest Rules And Regulations

1. Eligibility.

  • The “Minutes for A Lifetime” twitter competition is all twitter users living in Malaysia with a Twitter Account.
  • There is no age limit set on for “Minutes for a lifetime”’
  • 2. Closing Date.

  • The closing date for submissions will be 9th October 2009. Submissions received after this date will not be entertained or included in the final judging process.
  • 3. Entry Details

  • Each entry of 140 characters must include the hashtag “#mins4alifetime” to qualify as an entry
  • Each tweet has to tweeted in response to “@wijayamed” to qualify as an entry. This will enable us to contact you in person when the final decision has been made.
  • Every entrant must follow “@wijayamed” to be eligible for the prize.
  • There are no restrictions on minimal character count for each tweet. Each entry must be contained within a single tweet. Tweets with a consecutive tweet will not be considered as an entry.
  • Retweets (RTs) will not be considered as an entry.
  • Messages accompanied by Twitpics are allowed but there should be no links to other external URLs.
  • All tweets must be original. No previously published material will be accepted.
  • Entrants should not advertise their own personal gain, represent other companies or make any further references to treatment types, medical staff, patients, medical centers in other institutions without prior written permission from the organizer.
  • Entries should not contain any misleading information, defamatory suggestions, remarks, media or references.
  • The winner will be informed via by Monday, 19th of October 2009. Winners will be announced via tweet and the winner is expected to DM their details to @wijayamed.
  • The grand prize winner must be available to receive the prize in person during the closing ceremony Saturday, 24th October 2009.
  • 4. Judging Criteria

  • Originality and creativity of message to promote breast cancer awareness and prevention
  • The Panel of judges will be carefully selected from a pool of medical professionals, media and campaign sponsors/guests.
  • The top 100 tweets will be printed and distributed to survivors, care takers and individuals
  • 5. Disclaimer

  • The judges have the right to disqualify entries where by information details provided are misleading or inaccurate.
  • Competition entrants explicitly and irrevocably agrees that any media form of their tweets with relevance to the competition maybe used by WIMC for promotional, advertising and commercial purposes.
  • The judges decision is final and no appeals will be entertained. Any form of plagiarism will be an immediate reason for disqualification.
  • The organizers and judges have the right to amend the competition rules and regulations as they see fit without prior notice.
  • WIMC, organizers and sponsors will not be held responsible for any misleading information or defamatory statements, pictures or media published by the individuals tweeting.
